Where can I find hubcaps?

Well, I'm ordering some new wheels soon. I'm going to use the stock hubcaps, and go with the black steelie and poverty dish look, like you'd see on a P71. My issues is that my hubcaps are starting to get pretty beat up.

I am thinking of plastidipping them black, but I'm not sure if it will look good. Another option is not using them and getting different style hubcaps to go with the Cragars. I really want to use the stock hubcaps though.

My question is, besides the dealer or junkyard, is there anywhere I could pick up a new set? I'm looking but I'm not having any luck.

They are off a 2001 Ford Ranger XLT. This is what they look like.

eBay? Lots of sellers specialize in wheel covers and hub caps. I found OEM Toyota ones for my car for 1/4 of the price at the dealer.

I have that exact "black steelie and poverty dish look, like you'd see on a P71" setup on my '04 Sierra. I, too, was split between keeping the stock chrome hubcaps, and black ones. I picked up a set of older ('88-'98 GMT400 style) caps in factory black plastic from a junkyard. They were super cheap, which was good because I didn't fall in love with the look (plus, they didn't fit properly).

Anyway, the only place you're likely to find original-style caps are new from the dealer or used from a junkyard. Aftermarket ("jobber") body & trim parts never have the manufacturer logo because it's too expensive to acquire the licence for it. That's why you might see replacement Chevy & GMC grilles without the proper moluding around the emblem. And I doubt that there's a large enough market for the aftermarket to make Ranger hubcaps, logo or not.

Is your truck 4x4? If so, Ranger & Explorer caps are probably the only ones that'll fit over the protruding hubs. If not, you could might be able to fit all sorts of caps, including P71 ones ( same bolt pattern, 5 x 4.5 ). I once had a '92 Ranger 2WD, and it was awesome on a set of SN95 Mustang tribar wheels.

There is a place called Hub Cap World that I can literally walk to. They just have a fb page: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Hubcap-W…

I could look there. I guess I didn't because I don't use ebay.

My truck is 4 wheel, yes. I'll probably take a look at the junk yard eventually.

Hub Cap world sounds like a name for a very strange amusement park.

Every time I go by it I wonder how long it can stay in business. Even my mom's Nissan Cube has alloys!

That's the most detailed video I've ever seen about a 2WD Ranger Hubcap.

I know! And I looked on LMC truck, it's $179 for 4!!! I know the dealer will be around there. My local junkyard websites are annoying, so I'll just have to go look sometime.

That's another option. I have no clue why they are so expensive.

Same, No idea why either. The newer P71 centercaps are slightly cheaper. Do you have a Pic of the wheel?

I believe so. Probably yeah. I don't talk much about my truck here. Most of the time when I make a post it's Hot Wheels.
